Our Story
Talk Suite was founded by Richard Ellenson, a former advertising creative director who entered the world of assistive technology 20 years ago when his son Thomas was born with CP. Our approach, gleaned from years of advertising, begins with a belief that we need to focus not only on the needs of the individual using AAC, but also on the needs of the listener.
Over the years, due to the success of the approach, Richard and his son Thomas have been featured in multiple stories in newspapers, magazines, and network news. They most recently worked as consultants on the upcoming Disney Movie “Out of My Mind.” A two-time NIH grantee, Richard leads our diverse team, who constantly collaborates with leading experts and AAC users to create innovative tools that help build not just sentences but lasting connections.
